As a firefighter, I was concerned about the fire hazards of wood shingles. The metal roof was an excellent choice for me since it is a less flammable material. I was extremely pleased with the professional attitude of West Coast Roofing & Construction. They arrived promptly for appointments started and completed the work as scheduled. I will gladly refer my friends an relatives to West Coast Roofing & Construction for their roofing needs.

Re-roofing was long overdue, but my research paid off. After finding out the manufacturers of lightweight cement tile will not warranty the structure of home when their product is used for re-roofing and talking to my own engineer, not the one a contractor sent out, it was apparent that cement tile, lightweight or not, was unsafe for a home that had existing shake.
Your beautiful stone covered steel roof fit the mold I was looking for. From a weigh safe aspect to fire safety. It is also comforting to have a product that has such a proven track record around the world.
Also, after hearing the horror stories from friends about other roofing companies, and then seeing the care you took with my yard, along with finishing the job one day ahead of schedule, I’ll be happy to be a reference for your company, any time.

Back in 97, your company put on a stone coated steel roof on our home. We were involved in the Scripps Ranch Fire and had to evacuate. The fire was a block away from our home, but we were secure in our minds that our home would be saved, as it was. This mindset allowed us to pass this confidence to our children when we evacuated that we would have a house to come home to. We did arrive to a house intact. Others were not so fortunate. A block away there were houses lost. Please feel free to use our names as references.

I am writing to thank you for the outstanding job you and your crew did on our new roof. Your candor, professionalism, and success in living up to your commitments were very much appreciated.
As I explained to you, as a retired fire chief, I have felt somewhat hypocritical living in a house with a shake shingle roof. At first, I rationalized that shake roofs were hazardous only in wildland/urban interface areas. Then a few years ago the devastating fire in urban Santa Ana area (the spread of which was attributed to shake and/or shingle roofs) proved the fallacy of my rationalization.
Thanks to you and your crew, my conscience is now clear and I feel much more secure knowing that my wife and I have a beautiful, class A rated Gerard roof on our home.
You and your company have earned my whole-hearted recommendations to anyone in need of a roof.
Thank you again for a great job!
